On Monday 25th April, we were visited by Dan Scott, Assistant Principal at Oasis Academy in Wintringham, Charlotte Weedon, Head of Year 10 at Little Heath Secondary School and Jon Linz, Student Voice Co-ordinator at Little Heath Secondary School.
Our visitors spent time in Coaching sessions at the start of the morning meeting some of our pupils and their coaches. They thought the coaching sessions were a wonderful idea and very much impressed with the way our pupils and staff interacted with each other. Our coaching programme at Carr Manor Community School is fundamental to knowing our children well and forming the strong relationships that are so crucial for our community.
They also met with a selection of our Restorative Practice representatives, who explained to them how effective working restoratively is at Carr Manor. Jon and Charlotte from Little Heath Secondary School expressed their gratefulness for the visit and commented on how much a credit the pupils were to Carr Manor. They very much appreciated the information our pupils gave them about Coaching and Restorative Practice. Dan Scott from the Oasis Academy also appreciated his time at Carr Manor and commented how inspirational Simon Flowers the Executive Principal was with his vision for Carr Manor.
All the visitors found Carr Manor a very welcoming school and thoroughly enjoyed their time with us, expressing an interest in returning at a later date.
