Restorative Practice Development Day

On Monday 20th March we held our second Restorative Practice Development Day. There were visitors from Darton College, Brigshaw High School and Wetherby Young Offenders Institute.

The visitors sat with certain Coaching groups in the morning and had a tour of the school before meeting with a selection of our Restorative Practice pupils.
Pupils spoke to the visitors about Coaching, Character for Learning, Crew Characteristics and how Restorative Practice benefits them being representatives and the school on a whole.

The visitors were very impressed with our school and RP pupils and had a very informative day.

Thank you to all pupils involved.

Restorative Practice Conference

On Thursday 24th November, an International Restorative Practice Conference was held at the Hilton Hotel in Leeds titled “Re-imagining the child welfare system for the 21st century”.

Fourteen of our RP pupils delivered a workshop around “Building relationships, improving outcomes” along with Mr Flowers and Mrs Holdsworth.

During the workshop they spoke about Coaching, Pupil Voice, Passengers into Crew, RP, Carr Manor values and Character for Learning.

We received some excellent feedback from the event and many colleagues commented on how confidently the pupils spoke about Restorative Practices at Carr Manor.

Well done to all the pupils involved.
