Leeds Compassionate City Award Winner

A big thank you to all pupils and staff who donated money before Christmas to help those less fortunate.

The money has gone to help Leeds Compassionate City award winner Maureen Lilywhite provide Christmas hampers for disadvantaged families in the local area.

Coaching groups also brought in food and other goodies for our 'Reverse Advent Calendar' House competition.

Pupils were asked to donate items to give to those in need over the Christmas period. The boxes were given to Stainbeck Church an Family Solutions, who help people in our local community by sharing out donations, which made a huge difference to some people over the holidays.

Pupils decorated their boxes and it was lovely to see how much thought and effort went into the Reverse Advent Calendars.

Food Department Donations

The Carr Manor Community School Food Department are really interested in any donations of kitchen equipment e.g. hand blenders, pasta makers and anything else that you may be able to donate.

With the new GCSE Food Preparation & nutrition upcoming, any of the above items would really be appreciated by the pupils.

If you have any of the above items or any other items that you think could be of use, please contact us on 0113 3368400.

Thank you

Children In Need

We raised a fantastic £278 for Children In Need thanks to the generous donations from staff and pupils.

Our Primary pupils certainly looked the part as they paid £1 to dress up in spotty attire! Thank you to everyone who donated for such an important cause.
