Eleven pupils from years 7-10 were invited to Headingley Stadium for the announcement of the Rugby League World Cup venues, on Tuesday 29th January.
It was an exciting day to be there, as Leeds was chosen as a location for the 2021 World Cup with matches to be played at both Elland Road and Headingley Stadium!
On the day, pupils watched a live stream of the announcement, before meeting Councillor Judith Blake, members of the Leeds Rhinos Foundation and even Jamie Peacock MBE.
Mr Bowman, from the Leeds Rhinos Foundation, commented that the pupils “have been exemplary in their behaviour and conduct and were a credit to Carr
Manor Community School.”
