At the end of the 2014/15 academic year, pupils were working in conjunction with a professional graphic designer to develop our House logos and Mottos. These were introduced to further embed the identity of the House system within the school, whilst giving all members of the community an instantly recognisable image which can be used to highlight House activities and notices.
The House logos were developed by a group of volunteer pupils and were created to represent their individual Houses. The pupils met to brainstorm, research, outline and plan their ideas before sharing their final visions with a professional graphic designer.
The Motto competition was launched as a whole school competition, with the successful pupils being invited to work with a group of talented literacy pupils during the final stages of the Motto’s design process. Once these were completed they were introduced as part of the Logo.
The pupils then signed off the draft proposals before finally presenting them to the Governors and Senior Leadership Team for sign off and implementation.
