Here at Carr Manor Community School we celebrated another year of GCSE success.
"It was a pleasure to watch pupils open their GCSE results with the overwhelming majority of pupils meeting their aspirational targets. Their achievements reflect the hard work and commitment they’ve shown over the past 5 years. It’s been a privilege to work with pupils and their families and we look forward to watching them take their next steps in further education or training.” - Simon Flowers, Executive Principal.
51% of pupils achieved a 5+ in English, 30% of pupils achieved a 5+ in both English and Maths and 40% of pupils achieved a 7+ in Science.
Arantxa, who joined us from Spain in 2015, received outstanding results of ten 9s and one 8, making her one of the highest achievers in the country. She received a bursary to study at the Grammar School of Leeds and we are looking forward to hearing about her continued success.
Louis, who also achieved impressive results, has now received a rugby scholarship at Woodhouse Grove.
Overall, 23% of pupils made over 1 grade more progress than projected at the end of KS2, and 13% of pupils achieved 5 grades 9-7.
