Year 6 pupils had a fantastic time taking part in bikeability training sessions.

They spent time learning about bike safety, and gained confidence riding on the road.

We look forward to seeing some pupils cycling to school soon!

Languages Celebration Week

A huge thank you to all pupils who took part in our Language Celebration Week.

We had a fantastic week of language activity across the school, celebrating the diversity of languages here at Carr Manor. Many pupils enjoyed lessons in Pashto, Romanian and Mandarin, amongst others, and took part in language activities and quizzes in lessons.

Shout out to the pupils who attended the International Language Film Club at lunchtime, enjoying films in Japanese, Italian and more!

Year 7 pupils have an Enhanced Further Learning opportunity to design a T-shirt for next year’s European Day of Languages. Please remember to  get your entries in to your French or Spanish teacher before the end of this half term!

Natural Encounters Workshop

Our GCSE art pupils developed their critical thinking and observational skills during a Natural Encounters workshop led by Leeds Art Gallery.

Pupils had the chance to see an original John Nash artwork, which is worth £12,000, up close!

The workshop was also filmed by a professional filmmaker, so if you visit the Natural Encounters exhibition at the Leeds Art Gallery from 9th October, you may see some of our Year 10 artists on film as part of the exhibition.

Following the workshop, some of our Year 9 pupils then created their own artwork. We think it looks fantastic!
