Carr Manor’s Got Talent

On Tuesday 19th March, we were treated to an evening of brilliant break-dancing, sensational singing and divine drama at our annual Carr Manor’s Got Talent. The evening consisted of thirteen acts who all wowed the audience with their individual talents.

The primary dance group ‘Over The Edge’ were the first to be crowned, as they were chosen as the judges primary phase winner. Another primary dance group ‘Fly Gang’ were the audiences winner, as voted for on the night.

The judges then had a tough decision ahead of them choosing the overall winner, and it was Year 9 pupil Sammy Mills who took the 2019 Carr Manor’s Got Talent title, for his amazing rendition of ‘Palace’ by The Amazons.
We’re so proud of all the acts who performed on the night and a big thank you must also go to the staff involved and families who attended the event to show their support.

Temple Moor KS3 Dance Competition

Our Key Stage 3 dance group ‘Youth Army’ gave a fantastic performance at the Leeds KS3 Dance Competition on Wednesday 20th March.

The pupils involved were a credit to Carr Manor Community School both on and off stage, ensuring they were always supporting the other schools during their performances.

They placed 4th which is an excellent achievement and we’re very proud of everyone involved!

World Book Day

We were wowed by the amazing characters we had with us on World Book Day! We were joined by The Queen of Hearts, Harry Potter, Mary Poppins, Where’s Wally and even The Cat in the Hat!

Pupils then returned to school in the evening in their comfiest pyjamas, to attend the ‘Book At Bedtime’ event. This was a lovely, relaxed evening where pupils and their parents/carers enjoyed some fantastic storytelling from our staff.

Thank you to all who contributed towards the brilliant costumes and made the day a success!
