Year 4’s visit to Clifford’s Tower

As part of the topic on the Norman's, Year 4 pupils went to Clifford's Tower in York, one of the few remaining motte and bailey Norman castles in Yorkshire!

They had a brilliant day out learning about the history of the castle and how it was built to be strong, why people used to build castles and who used to live inside it.

They also enjoyed some spectacular views over York from the top of the castle!
