Service Above Self

Two of our Year 11 pupils, Amtul Azeem and Elliott Orange, attended Leeds Civic Hall on Monday 21st January to receive an award from the Leeds Rotary
Club for ‘Service Above Self.’

Pupils received their awards from the Lord Mayor of Leeds as a citation was read demonstrating how pupils showed ‘service above self’ during their time at Carr
Manor Community School. This included their involvement in numerous charity fundraisers; being Restorative Practice pupils; members of the School Council and House Captains; supporting the Primary Phase with their reading, along with their participation in numerous other school events and teams.

We're very proud of Amtul and Elliott as we at Carr Manor Community School know this award was well deserved.
