Sixteen of our Key Stage 4 pupils recently went on an educational trip to Poland. During their time there, they visited the Nazi concentration camp ‘Auschwitz-Birkenau’ where over 1 million people died during World War 2.
All of the pupils involved gained valuable historical lessons, whilst also exploring World War 2 and the concentration camp from a religious and sociological perspective.
The Holocaust Study Tours group commented that our pupils were 'bright' and 'demonstrated critical thinking skills beyond their years' during their visit to Auschwitz.
Pupils found the visit to be 'a life changing experience' and said that it taught them there is 'a great deal that we can learn from our past.'
