Over the past 12 weeks a group of Year 9 and Year 10 pupils have been working on the Social Enterprise Action Programme.
Ran by Ahead Partnership, the programme allowed pupils the opportunity to create their own fundraising ideas for a particular charity, The Jane Tomlinson appeal. The aim of the programme was to bring the pupils together, with some business mentors, to help them develop their planning, organisational, teamwork, presenting and analysing skills.
After a lot of hard work the groups came up with three fantastic final ideas.
The winning idea was a Carr Manor Pie the Teacher in the Face event (beware teachers - the team are still hoping to make this a reality!)
The judges expressed their difficulty in selecting a winning idea as the thought and hard work put in by all three groups was outstanding. Well done to all the pupils who completed the programme. It’s an excellent achievement!
